　再过一个星期就要退休的怀特警官被一阵忽促的电话铃声惊醒。半小时后，他赶到了凶杀案现场——大富豪凯特的公寓卧室。
　　怀特警官伸手揭开遮尸布，只见凯特的头已被什么硬物击烂。他的心头突然掠过一丝快意。多年来，他追查一个庞大的贩毒集团，从蛛丝马迹中，直觉告诉他，凯特就是大毒枭。可是，尽管有了一些间接证据，但都被财大势雄的凯特聘请的律师给解套了。他曾经暗暗发誓，一定要在退休前将凯特绳之以法。现在好了，终于有人除掉了这个老毒物。
　　他问先来的探员有什么线索，探员说，根据现场勘测，凶手反侦察能力极强，现场没有留下什么有价值的信息。
　　一个星期后，怀特警官退休了。让他奇怪的是，长期困扰他的夜游症竟然不治而愈了。


Revival

       Officer White who would retire in a week was awaked by a quick phone ringtone. After half an hour ,he arrived at the scene of the homicide case—the bedroom of Millionaire Kate’s apartment.
       After uncovering the shroud, Officer White found Kate’s head was smashed terribly. Suddenly, to his surprise, a trace of pleasure swept over him. Over the years he had been investigating a big drugs ring. From the scene analysis, he was subconsciously aware that Kate was the drug lord.                  
       However, the circumstantial evidence which Officer White had was contradicted by the Kate’s lawyer  and became invalid completely.Although he felt very frustrated, Officer White swore that he would bring Kate to justice.
       Anyway, Kate was killed now, which made him delighted. He inquired of the detective who had arrived at the scene of the homicide case   earlier.
        “Based on the scene investigation, the murderer has good performance on anti-reconnaissance and no valuable information was left at the scene. ” said the detective.
       A week later ,Officer White retired from the job. Surprisingly, he was miraculously cured from noctambulism which he had been badly suffering from for many years
