　　现在是下午3点23分，雨一直下着。这一天漫长得没有边际，但并不是因为下雨而这一切变得无法忍受，而是因为缺了点什么。什么东西，什么人，求求您了，必须发生点什么事情。在法国北部的这所高中的走廊里，没有任何东西可以感受、可以讲述。每一周都是在不停地上一些无聊或不那么无聊的课，不停地完成大量作业，度过总是显得短暂的夜晚。有人结为情侣，有人分手，但大家都知道这不过是为了让时间过得快一点。是无聊。无聊！太平常了！
　　茱丽在院子里和朋友谈论天气，谈论功课的压力或是物理老师的新外套——这是很久以前的事，我记不清了。他们勉强躲在大楼的拱形廊下，这时过来了一个他们班的女生，还带来一个新同学，这天早上茱丽在课上隐约看到过这个女孩子。新同学不是格外漂亮，但有一种奇特的魅力，这是那些对一切都毫不在乎的人才有的魅力。她羞涩地微笑着，邋遢的长长金发都淋湿了。她说她来自德国，在这里听课有些费劲。茱丽便提出把自己的笔记借给她。
　　两个月后，茱丽和新来的女生成为了好朋友。雨已经转变成雪，不过要承认这还是更舒服些。有人能和她一起分享，茱丽觉得上课也没那么无聊了；但是夜晚仍旧短暂，不过这回有人和她说话。每次当茱丽读到或看到一件有趣的事情时，她就会想着要告诉新朋友。
